Optimal Solutions, Inc. (OSI) is a technology firm located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Founded in 1993, Optimal Solutions has successfully combined innovative software development and engineering practices to provide unique services within two major technology sectors: healthcare and education. In serving both markets, Optimal Solutions provides leadership in a diverse but complementary group of technical specialties, including digital video distribution, systems engineering, and financial management systems.
Optimal Solutions healthcare strategy is focused on eVideon, an internally developed product that provides end-to-end IP-network-based delivery of video through an interactive TV interface. eVideon is designed to fit seamlessly into the technical operations of healthcare facilities to manage video content and deliver TV channels and other media to patients, staff, and guests. In addition to the eVideon software, Optimal Solutions provides a completely integrated hardware platform for digital media delivery, including encoders, set top boxes, and video-on-demand (VOD) servers.
Optimal Solutions’ educational offering includes an academic version of eVideon and SchoolFinance, a financial management application managing all aspects of a K12 school district’s financials. As in the healthcare arena, both products are backed up by comprehensive hardware support and end-to-end engineering services to provide solutions across large-scale academic networks involving hundreds of facilities.
